I think I’ve been pretty clear that I don’t like Chicken. Blossom’s BFF (“BB”) used to tell me after we first started dating that he gained ten pounds around me because I ate too much red meat and no poultry. Lol. Now, aside from the fact that I was NOT going to take credit for his new pounds, he was right that I don’t like Chicken and I don’t eat much of it. So when I find a Chicken recipe I like, that’s sortof a big deal. Chicken Wings are one of those recipes.
I haven’t always liked Chicken Wings because I haven’t always been real “spice” tolerant. And Chicken Wings used to be way too spicy for me. But as my tastes have aged, Chicken Wings have become one of the VERY few Chicken recipes I liked.
I started making Chicken Wings at home quite often. But honestly, I don’t use my fryer very often, and I never saw the draw to having fried Chicken Wings. I suppose I never tried frying Chicken Wings. Baked were easier. So I started regularly making baked Chicken Wings.
When BB and I first started dating, we ate quite a few Chicken Wings together–always baked. And then last year, BB wanted a Toaster Oven that was also an Air Fryer for his birthday. I haven’t ever really used a Toaster Oven, and I don’t think I’d ever even seen an Air Fryer. But we started using it almost right away. I want to say one of our very first recipes in the Air Fryer was Chicken Wings seeing as BB saw the Chicken Wing recipe in the book and got super excited.
Nowadays, we won’t make them any other way! So here’s to Chicken Wings approved by the non-Chicken-eater. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

- 1 Package Organic Party Wings
- ½ C. Frank's Red Hot
- ¼ C. Salted Butter
- 1 T. Honey
- 1 t. Worcestershire
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Preheat Air Fryer to 400 degrees on "Air Fry" setting.
- Sprinkle Wings with Salt, Pepper, and Garlic Powder on the Air Fryer rack.
- Put Wings in Air Fryer for 20-25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.
- Melt Butter, and mix all sauce ingredients in bowl.
- Toss Wings in Sauce.
- Serve with homemade Ranch, Blue Cheese, cut Veggies, or Salad. (Or make as an appetizer on a pizza night!)
